The place for young business owners to sell their products and grow their skills.

“Give the pupils something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking; learning naturally results.”  – John Dewey

Who We Are

Since 2019, the Young Entrepreneur Marketplace has provided an ideal opportunity for young people to engage in the active learning process specifically related to business development and ownership.  The marketplace offers an experience where communities can support the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Learning by Doing

Some children learn best by looking at visuals while others learn best by listening to a parent or teacher speak.  And some children learn best by reading and writing about a topic. Arguably, these three are the most common ways that children learn; however, there is a fourth learning style: “learning by doing.”

Hands on Experience

Hands on learning has been shown to be extremely effective and engaging. When students are challenged to do something, they are engaged in active learning where they are practicing skills and putting their knowledge to the test instead of passively consuming it.
